Canada Privacy Reform: Comparing C-27 against former C11

The text of Canada’s bill C-27 – “An Act to enact the Consumer Privacy Protection Act, the Personal Information and Data Protection Tribunal Act and the Artificial Intelligence and Data Act and to make consequential and related amendments to other Acts” amending the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act has been released!

The text of C-27 is available online, but for those who had done a deep-dive analysis of C-11 (the previous bill) when it came out in 2020 and wish to review the changes between these two bills, we have prepared a version comparing C-27 against former bill C-11.
